Oh my gosh, you guys, I was nominated for the Liebster Award twice within minutes of each other! It means so much to be acknowledged, especially as a new blog trying to figure out if I am talking to myself or making connections with my readers, whose stories I have LOVED getting to know!
The first was by Darta, knowin in the blogging world as The Butterfly Girl. She has such a neat and artistic blog giving us a glimpse into the world of behind the scenes movie making. Each blog is interesting and gives a unique perspective on the movies I just saunter into the theater to watch – So.Much.Work goes into these films, and I’m thankful she lets us learn from her experiences.
The Liebster Award is an award given to bloggers by bloggers with aim to discover and spot new bloggers.
The Rules are pretty simple:
1 → Acknowledge the blog who nominated you;
2 → Answer the 11 questions that your nominator has asked you;
3 → Nominate 11 other bloggers (with followers under 200);
4 → Ask them 11 questions;
5 → Let them know that you have nominated them;
The Butterfly Girl asks:
1. What movie title would describe your blog the most and why?
The Never Ending Story, if by words only, because I always find excitement in life – a trip to the grocery store can inspire a craft which can inspire a fail which can inspire a good laugh. It just never ends.
And it inspires run on sentences, lots and lots of run on sentences.
2. Would you rather travel to the past or the future?
The past. Imagine if you could sit in on the writing of the Declaration of Independence, knowing how important that would be to millions of people for centuries to come! Or go back to certain fails I’d like to redo – things said poorly, actions done hastily or without heart, classes I breezed through instead of taking seriously… Yeah, the past it is.
But maybe the future, so I could figure out what NOT to do before I do it? That would be the smart thing to do.
3. What skill would you like to master?
Cooking. I’m awful at it. Everything I cook ends up haggard or burnt and then I don’t even want to try anymore. But if I could master it, and make some dinners that everyone loved instead of picked at, that would be awesome.
4. If you would have a chance to spend 5 hours tomorrow with ANYONE in the world (alive) who would it be and what would you be doing in these 5 hours?
I’d love to be on set of “The Office” American version and watch these scenes come together – comical genius. Michael Scott, Dwight, Jan and Jim. Ahh, my heart.
5. What is your dream job?
Grant Coordinator for a needed program in my community, preferably one that pays a ton of course, but one that really meets the needs of the community and has a positive impact.
6. What is your favourite quote?
7. What was your last travel destination? describe it in a few words.
Wisconsin Dells Mt.Olympus Water Park can be best described as many acres of water filled delight – slides, waves, pools, food and fun.
8. In 5 bullet points bullet your day.
*Reluctantly crawls out of bed
*Prepares kids for school
*Gets self to work
*Picks kids up from school after work
*Dine and study til the stars shine
9. 3 best things you did / that happened to you in 2017… go!
I started grad school, I watched three long time relationships finally turn into engagements, and celebrating my Dad’s one year cancer free anniversary!
10. Any social media?
Nope. Pretty old school.
11. Name 3 things that are in your “2018 Bucket list”!
Expand on my current career as I’m LOVING it, get the family to travel out of state, and be successful in school.
There are so many great blogs out there! I don’t know how I’ll nominate just 11, but here it goes:
The Cheeky Cyclist: this gal is passionate about bicycling, and I can’t help but love her blog!
Introverted and Candid caught my attention with its name, but the beautiful posts keep me coming back 🙂
Musings Mosaic took me through a wonderful tour of Barcelona with just words and pictures – a beautiful writer with travels I wish to someday experience.
The Forgotten Bella – Don’t let the name fool ya – this gal has energy and enthusiasm for life!
Pia Majumdar posted pics of her visit to Shillong – I love seeing and learning about places I’ve never heard of before, let alone been fortunate enough to travel to.
Hidden Positives is a precious blog. Her heart felt posts pull at my heart strings every time.
Mercury Twin because travel and photos keep me dreaming!
