Breaking Him by R.K. Lilley is a good read. It is proof that love can overcome even the most hurt and stubborn among us. Though I didn’t finish the book, I would recommend it to those that like strong female leads and soft spoken but strong male leads.
What I disliked:
It was a little to vengeful for me. She hated him, so she ripped him up. He patiently allowed the behavior, not seeing her as a bitch but as a broken masterpiece just needing a little TLC. I feel bad for the guy, but he handles himself well and is very likable. I love that he sees the pearl blooming while it’s still kinda ugly.
What I liked:
I loved the earlier dialogue about their elementary days and the way their friendship bloomed. It is painful and beautiful and pulled at a heart string that kept me turning the pages. I loved his loyalty towards her and his ability to stand up for what’s right. I love his patience and persistence. I loved her take no prisoners attitude at times.
