Cool Time Song by Carole Lexa Schaefer

Cool Time Song is written by Carole Lexa Schaefer and Illustrated by Pierr Morgan.  It was given to us by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and I am very thankful.  This is not a book I would have picked up off the shelf for myself, but it’s magical and transports you to a different place.

What I disliked:

I have no criticisms.  It was great.

What I liked:

I love both the story and the illustrations.  The story line is poetic and beautiful, describing the sights, sounds and feels of a country far away from our own.  I feel if I closed my eyes, they would open in this new land, wanting to dance and sing along.

The illustrations are magnificent.  I can’t say enough about the beauty the pictures bring, adding not only a visual guide to the lyrics, but adding an emotional tone as well.  Phenomenal.

Where to find:

We were blessed to be given this book free, and if you live near by you will find it in the little red free library box in our community.  If not, it can be purchased on Amazon for less than $8, found here.
