Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy by David Soman and Jacky Davis is a preschool adventure across town to the playground and back.
What I disliked:
It is kind of wordy. Too many to make it a fun bedtime story, but the words are relatively complicated enough that it improves the vocabulary of the younger ones.
What I liked:
I feel like this book was written by parents describing a day in their life. It shows the creativity of the young minds, the struggles kids go through socially, and how strong the littles believe they are. It appears that there are other Ladybug Girl books, so if your child latches onto this one there are others to mix it up with.
Where to find it:
We were lucky enough to receive ours through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. You can grab yours for around fifteen bucks on Amazon, a bit pricey in my opinion.
