Ladies Man by Katy Evans is a romance in the Manwhore series I honestly enjoy. Though the series name, “Manwhore,” totally turned me off, when I accidentally ran into it the other day, thinking I’d read a few pages and discard it, it was actually pretty good. Yeah, he’s a manwhore, but the love story is better than many other “romances” I’ve read.
What I disliked:
The Manwhore series name. Total turn off for me as I prefer the love and romance aspect of novels, but the book itself is actually a long love story.
What I liked:
I loved the tone of this book. I had Sam Smith’s playlist playing as I read, and it seemed to fit the tone of this book to a T. Waiting, wishing, hoping, loving no matter what, persevering. A little bit of walking through life with a realistic lens of it not happening instantly or perfectly or beautifully. Sometimes life leads us through the mud before the rain washes us clean, and this book depicts that aspect perfectly.
Where to find it:
You can find it on Amazon Kindle for less than $5, a very fair price.
