Inside Outside Upside Down by Stan and Jan Berenstain

Inside Outside Upside Down by Stan and Jan Berentain is A Bright & Early Book intended for Beginning Readers.

What I disliked:

While there was only a word or two on each page, the words were difficult for my kindergartener – not easily sounded out (outside, going, etc.).  Then by the time my kindergartener made it to first, the book looked too babyish.

What I liked:

I liked the simplicity, though the words were difficult to sound out, with a little guidance from a parent, the kids picked up on it and were able to reread it out of memorization.  It increased their confidence, but if we weren’t around to help it would have been useless.

Where to find it:

We received ours as a monthly book club about a decade ago.  You can find yours on Amazon for under $15, way too much in my opinion.
